There are many perks of being a resident of Varnamtown. Below are some of the services offered to our community.
Summer: 9am-9pm
Winter: 9am-5pm
The Town Park will be closed Dec. 1-Feb. 28, due to winterizing.
Wednesdays from 9am to 2pm.
To reserve the Community Room, call the town hall on Wednesdays at 910-842-3095.
A $100 deposit is required and must be paid prior to the event.
The boat ramp at the end of Fisherman Road was reconstructed for public use in 1993.

The Town of Varnamtown will implement paid parking for the boat ramp effective this season: May 5, 2025 thru October 15, 2025 from 9:00am-5:00pm. The parking lot at the corner of Fisherman Rd & Old River Rd will be designated for Varnamtown Property Owners Only. The parking lot across the road from 32 Fisherman Rd. is for Visitor Parking.
Property owners are allowed 1 free permit per season for each parcel.
Paid Parking Rates:
Tandem vehicles (truck & trailer): $40.00/day
Single vehicles: $20.00/day
No turn arounds with trailers in the businesses parking lots or driveways near the boat ramp. Turn arounds are only allowed in the town parking lots. This WILL be enforced.
Varnamtown is centrally located in Southern Brunswick County, just to the north of the beach communities of Oak Island & Holden Beach. The town is situated on the banks of the Lockwood Folly River and retains its identity as a fishing community.
